FYON CHEONG

Fyon Cheong (b.1994) 张凤娟 is a Singaporean ceramic artist and co-founder of Common Touch Craft Studio. 

 

A graduate of the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts, Fyon has been actively contributing to the local art community through her emotive ceramic works. Her work has been featured in numerous exhibitions, including the Affordable Art Fair in Singapore and Hong Kong. 

 

As a local artist, Fyon was selected as a featured artist for the Singapore Youth Festival Visual Arts 2023 and Singapore's MOE Primary Art Teaching and Learning Syllabus starting in 2024. She was also part of The Straits Times & NAC #SGCultureAnywhere campaign, "30 Days of Art with NAC". 

 

 Fyon's current practice focuses on sculpting bulbous, anthropomorphic ceramic vessels that explore the volatility and beautiful impermanence of human emotions. Through her work, she invites viewers to contemplate the fragile and ever-changing nature of emotional experiences
